About the ClearVision-Adira Grant

The program, funded by a donation from ClearVision in alignment with the launch of its women’s brand, Adira, will award two grants of $2,000 each for 2025.

A panel selected by OWA and ClearVision will choose finalists and OWA members will vote to determine the winners. Essays are anonymized during the voting process to ensure fairness.

How to Participate

OWA members who wish to participate in the ClearVision-Adira Grant Program may do so by sharing their experiences and aspirations through 300-word personal essays.

The Essay Prompts

  1. Please share your greatest challenge in the workday and how would you use this grant to overcome that.
  2. If you were to dream big, what skill would you like to attain that you haven't had time to spend on to make a difference in your career.
  3. Connect Inspire Lead: Working women are pressured with so many tasks, tell us how you would use this grant to help you overcome your stress and struggles.
  4. What is the most impactful achievement you have had. What is next on your bucket list, and how would you use the grant to help you get there?

About the OWA

Founded in 1997 as a non-profit, the Optical Women's Association is committed to supporting and promoting the professional development of women involved in all facets of the optical industry. As the vision of the OWA evolves and expands, we maintain the focus of the OWA's founding principles and core mission. If you're not a member yet, here's a chance to join a vibrant community dedicated to the support and advancement of women in the optical industry.

Rules & Eligibility

  • This program is open exclusively to OWA members; potential applicants can sign up for membership before applying.
  • In both phases, at least one winner should be any of the following: Optometrist, Ophthalmologist, Optician, Optical Manager, Lab Manager, Optical Buyer, Office Manager, or Frame Buyer.
  • ClearVision employees are not eligible for the grant program.
  • Winners will be asked to submit a short video detailing their story and outlining how they utilized the grant. Winners agree to provide their name and allow ClearVision and the OWA to use their name, photo, and video in marketing and communications materials issued by both organizations.

Selection Process

  • Finalists from the submissions will be selected by a panel comprised of OWA (Optical Women's Association) and ClearVision Optical representatives. The finalists will then be made public and voted on by OWA members.

Use of Submitted Materials

  • Participants agree that all essays and multimedia submitted as part of the contest, as well as names, may be made public for use by OWA or ClearVision in marketing or recruiting endeavors.
